Become a Worksite.
Make a Difference.

How it works

When businesses sign up to be a worksite, they’ll be connected with participants for a short-term, subsidized work experience.

Hawkeye covers all cost associated with the Paid Work Experience opportunity. During the program, we are the employer of record, but when the hours are completed, you will have the opportunity to hire them on your team, if there is an available position for which they are qualified.

You have the power to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth and a chance to share your expertise with them so that they can take their new skills with them wherever they go.

More than a Job

As a Hawkeye worksite, you’re doing more than providing a job. This is an exciting opportunity to be a mentor within the community for youth who are interested in developing the skills necessary to be successful in the workforce. By providing this valuable work experience, you’ll have a positive, long-lasting impact on those looking to enter or re-enter the workforce. This opportunity is at no cost to the employer or the participant enrolled within our programs. The participant will work with you and your team to learn the skills necessary to be successful in the industry of your business, and you’ll have a new employee who is eager to learn and contribute – a mutually beneficial relationship!

A learning opportunity for all

We work with opportunity youth throughout the community – individuals who may present with a disability, may be experiencing homelessness, are basic skills deficient, parenting or are in foster care. This program is a learning experience both for our participants and for you as a worksite. Our team will support both the worksite and the participant throughout this journey. Our Career Coaches will always keep an open line of communication with you to ensure this opportunity is mutually beneficial for the worksite and participant. As a host worksite, you will be invited to our monthly worksite meetings to discuss any issues, success stories, participant updates, and updates to your business.

We hope that you will be open to becoming a host worksite and we look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

The Hawkeye Workforce Team
