Connecting Youth With
Where quality employees and employers meet.
Hawkeye’s Youth Employment Program provides out-of-school, opportunity youth and young adults with career coaching, educational assistance, paid work experience activities, work readiness workshops, access to occupational skills training and more to empower youth participants to be engaged, contributing members of the workforce and community.
Hawkeye currently operates a WIOA Youth Program serving San Bernardino County. Funding for this program is provided by San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board (WDB). This WIOA Title-1 financially assisted program or activity, the WDB, and Hawkeye Properties and Workforce Innovation, Inc. are Equal Opportunity Employers. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities. For TTY, please call 711. For federal funding disclosure information, visit wp.sbcounty.gov/workforce/ffd.
It is often said how a person was made to feel is of more value than what was said. Value is key. It is not simply about words or numbers but how a person’s life was impacted. Was it positively impacted? What solutions were created? What avenues were provided? It just made sense to widen our reach and touch the lives of those who are so often overlooked and neglected: disconnected youth, those in under-resourced communities. We expanded our wings of service to become a hallmark of positivity by giving help, hope, and high-quality assistance, wrapped in humanity and hospitality toward those whose experiences have been less optimistic.
We are glad and proud to be a partner with Hawkeye in the effort to help individuals that are being offered training for career advancement and self-development. We are also very fortunate to have this partnership as we also greatly benefit from having individuals work for us who really would like to learn our Floral industry and do what needs to be done to achieve our business goals. We have been able to find talented individuals and have hired them to work for us.”
